  8.   You will then be taken to the second step of the submission process.  The “Submission File” should be the primary file of your submission.  For text-centered submissions, this file will include all primary textual content and media references (please review all submissions requirements). For interactive or other submissions that are not primarily textual, this file will contain the overview/description of the reader’s/viewer’s/listener’s experience.  In either case, all media files (image, video and/or audio, and other interactive media content) will be submitted in a later step as “Supplementary Files.”  When you have selected and uploaded this primary file, select “Save and Continue.”

  9. The third step of the submission process is to enter data about your submission (“metadata.”)  This metadata is essential not only for the indexing of your work on public and private searchable research databases, but for the successful functioning of the journal’s own archive and interactive data representations.  For multi-authored submissions, this is the stage at which you enter the information about each of your additional authors/creators.  Again, please make sure to include on this page the biographical information you want to appear with the authors’ names in the final published work.  Note also that one author/creator must be selected as the primary contact for editorial purposes.  Please be thoughtful and thorough with all of your remaining entries on this page in order to provide the most meaningful and accurate representation and indexing of your submission.  Once again, when you are done, click “Save and Continue.”

  10. The fourth step of the submission process is to upload and enter data about your supplementary files.  Please assure that your files meet all the requirements of the multimedia submissions guidelines.  Here, after uploading each file, you will be given an opportunity to enter information about the file’s ownership, authorship, etc., as well as caption and other credit information.  Please be as precise as you can be with this information. Note especially the option to “Present file to reviewers.”  If you file contains any identifying information about the authors/creators, do NOT select this option in order to maintain a fully double-blind peer-review process.  Otherwise, please select this option.  When you are done uploading and adding data about all of your media files, click “Save and Continue.”
